Last Debunker of 2003-and shortest of the
year: Words of Thanks &
Hope
It's been a tough year for many marketing
types--and probably many of you as well--but not nearly as
tough as it was for U.S. steel workers, textile workers, and
others in manufacturing industries who got ground up and spit
out as a result of American and global economic policies and
trends beyond their control. And certainly not as tough as
it's been for our armed forces and their families, the
millions in Africa (and elsewhere) with AIDS, the poor and
homeless everywhere, and countless others.
I give thanks for the many, many blessings that
my family and I have received in 2003, and I look forward to
2004 with great hope. I wish you and your families peace,
goodwill, and prosperity in the coming year.
Thank you for taking time out of your busy days
to read my Debunker newsletters and pass them on to others. I
hope that some of my newsletters gave you pause to think and
reflect, entertained you (business is way too serious
sometimes!), and encouraged you to act to change your business
for the better.
I believe that our business fortunes will
prosper if each of us try to act according to the Golden Rule
and have more faith in our own individual creativity and
abilities--and those of our colleagues, friends, and even
strangers. We are all truly blessed to be in the marketplace
and have the opportunity to put our creativity and abilities
to work--in our own unique ways--each day we are
alive.
Also, a special thanks to my clients for their
business in 2003--and letting me continue to learn from
them--while striving to help make their respective businesses
more prosperous.
Happy Holidays, and I'll be back debunking more
next year.
PS: You may be making a New Year's resolution to
eliminate even more emails from your overflowing in-box each
day, but here's a heads-up for perhaps the best source of
marketing information on the Internet today (and they don't
pay me to say so): MarketingSherpa
. I recommend that you sign up for their
newsletters, and they've got other excellent resources as
well.
