Step Up Your Marketing

About NoSpin Marketing

During my vaporware days, I could spin it with the best of them. Oh, those amazing, yet forgettable spin days before the dot.com melt-down! Now it's about helping folks take a BIG step up with their websites and overall marketing—the NoSpin way.

A NoSpin Convert Celebrates 5 Years in Business

Very simply—unlike a lot of other marketing types—I will tell it like it is—even if that's not exactly what you want to hear. Hence, another reason for the name of my company.

NoSpin Marketing, which I started in May of 2001, is the compilation of my business and marketing experiences over the last 28 years in business coupled with knowledge gained from reading, sharing, and analyzing ideas about marketing and business practice and theory. I continue to learn the most from my clients, and have had a number of successes. But I still find that my failures still teach me a lot more than my triumphes. I've learned a few lifetimes worth of valuable marketing know-how that can be applied to virtually any business.

My best talents are being able to quickly analyze complex business issues; cut through internal politics that often get in the way of good business; synthesize and prioritize key issues; think creatively "out-of-the-box; recommend clear, concise results-oriented courses of marketing action; and help diverse types of businesses become more successful by selling more product at a profit. I like to get my hands dirty and implement those marketing courses of action, as well.

I tend to rail against hierarchies in general; stupid rules; mind numbing, purpose-less meetings; ego-centric/control freak executives who don't even know their own products and treat people poorly; and so-called “Sales and Marketing” managers who haven’t a clue about marketing. I love helping businesses grow and become more profitable, but I don't miss the "corporate" thing at all. I’m much more effective as an independent consultant than as a full-time, always-in-the-office corporate guy.
