Website Evaluations and Plans

You can have a really Good instead of a Bad and/or Ugly web site

NoSpin Website Evaluations are succinct, but also hard-hitting (like most of Clint’s dialogue), direct looks at your company’s website and overall marketing strategy. You already admitted that you can handle the truth, right? NoSpin Website Evaluations focus primarily on content and organization ("The Good and the Bad") with ancillary comments on design ("The Ugly").

NoSpin Website Evaluations are serious business, but unlike most business stuff, these are meant to be fun as well. Hear Ennio Morricone’s amazing theme song from The Good, The Bad and The Ugly and check out the movie clips with some popcorn. And, as in all of Clint’s movies, actions speak much louder than words in the end.

You can choose two levels of NoSpin Marketing Website Evaluations—or a complete Website Plan. Each is an important step in deconstructing your site— so that it can be reconstructed as a true marketing vehicle—one that supercharges your overall Marketing program on an ongoing basis. Level III also provides a complete web site plan for your new or revamped site using NoSpin Marketing's Homepage Blueprint (and see the Blueprint Instructions).

NoSpin Website Evaluation—Level I

This is a "quickie" critique of your web site. Using my Homepage Blueprint I’ll "deconstruct" your website and give you the good, the bad, and the ugly—right between the eyes. It’s a fun but comprehensive audit of more than 100 NoSpin website criteria. The result is a 3-5 page summary, typically provided within one-two business days.

NoSpin Website & Marketing Evaluation—Level II (includes Level I):

Level II is a 10-15 hour evaluation of your web site that includes analysis—not only of your web site content—but also your other marketing materials (that you provide): print marketing, direct mail, product demos, presentations, business strategy documents, competitor lists/info) and a 60-90 minute interview with one key person in your company. I provide a detailed Marketing SWOT (see below) as well as top line recommendations for your site and your overall marketing initiatives—in a 10-15 page document.

Marketing SWOT Analysis—(Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats Analysis) that lays the groundwork for understanding the key components of your business, marketing, and website needs.

  • Interview (in person) key managers regarding the company’s current business, products and services, and marketing and sales strategies/tactics.
  • Inventory, review and critique all current marketing materials as made available by the company:
    • Current web site
    • Current web traffic statistics
    • Basic collaterals (letterhead, business cards, etc)
    • Brochures and print materials/mailers etc
    • Print advertising
    • Media advertising (TV, radio, billboards, etc)
    • Email campaigns
    • Press releases/press campaigns
    • Marketing plan
    • Product demonstrations
    • Sales presentations
    • Other TBD
  • Analyze 3-5 top competitors (as identified by the company) by reviewing key competitors’ web sites and other online information.

NoSpin Website Plan

A NoSpin Website Plan includes not only both of the Evaluations above but also a Plan for your new/revamped site: site objectives, navigation, sub-navigation, homepage (THE most important by far) and other page recommended content components, and current content status (e.g. do current components need to be edited or eliminated?), technical functions needed for the site: e.g. hosting, web traffic monitoring tool, search site tool, email and contact information database capture, automated email response, real-time collaboration, e-commerce (if appropriate) and other backend technical functionality that may be needed.

NoSpin Website/Marketing Evaluations and Plans take a fraction of the time and expense of what a typical management-consulting firm would attempt—if they had the know-how—and focuses on concrete results. You get my senior marketing experience and 26 years of business experience. I don’t need weeks of time to get up to speed and will tell it like I see it in a few hours or a few days of work. I will propose what I can do to help you get to the next steps; then it’s your choice to implement my website/marketing recommendations in-house or let NoSpin Marketing help.

So before you hire another web "designer" to fiddle with a pricey re-design of your site or an ad/consulting firm laden with expensive overhead to re-write your marketing plan and spend your whole marketing budget (and then walk out leaving you with not much but a big bill) try NoSpin Website/Marketing Evaluation or Plan.
